The ARQADE Cervera Network aims to develop capabilities and infrastructure to facilitate access to quantum computing and its application in strategic sectors. Its scope includes quantum algorithms, AI integration, post-quantum cybersecurity, and secure communications. The initiative builds on the ARQA Network (2023–2025), which involved CTIC, EURECAT, and ITG, and expands its scope with the inclusion of additional technology centres (AIR and ITI). This research project focuses on the development of scalable quantum algorithms for quantum machine learning (QML) and optimisation, with particular emphasis on implementation on Rydberg atom platforms. Coordinated by the Centre for Research in Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology (CINN-CSIC), with the Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC) as the lead applicant, the project explores the use of higher-dimensional systems (qudits) and the design of efficient algorithms compatible with experimental quantum hardware.
